The People
SymPul Studio is run by Derek Pulliam, Dustin Symes, and John Heals. They are three family men who have many years of combined experience in the local Alberta music industry. Naomi Pulliam is the business manager and handles the books.
Derek Pulliam
"Pully" has over 20 years experience as a live musician, audio engineer, and music producer. He has ongoing work with Nero Productions, Tubeman Productions, and plays with T Buckley, Bryan Bayley and the Circus, Paul Jensen, The Dim Witted Heroes, and Steven James Larsen. He is also the house tech at one of Calgary's best performance venues The Lantern Community Church. Derek's skills as a producer are widely used by many artists who work at the recording studio while his abilities as a session player can also be heard on as many as 15 recording projects on instruments such as the upright bass and guitar.
Dustin Symes
Dustin Symes has 6+ years of experience in live audio production and recording production. His training consists of many countless hours of self-teaching and critical listening as well as being a part of the recording program at Prairie Bible College in Three Hills. Having finished an electrical apprenticeship he is eager to continue bringing excellence to the music world with audio installations that include electrical connections that make sense.
