CD Replication

We are now offering access to CD replication. Our standard packages for CDs are below but each project is different. Feel free to email in and get a hold of us for a more detailed estimate for your specific needs.

Clients who record in studio with us enjoy a 10% discount on CD replication.

Be sure to hire a professional graphic designer to complete your artwork. You will get incredible results and at less than half the time it would take an inexperienced designer. We have access to several graphic design artists should you require one. Also essential and available upon the start of your project are design templates. The manufacturing plant will not accept projects without having the artwork on the correct template. Email Dustin Symes to find out more and to get access to templates.

Why 1000 CDs?

Economics

We have found that cost per disc for short run (500 discs or less) makes your cost per disc incredibly high. If you include the recording, artwork and replication you can easily reach cost per disc of $5-8. If you have a 5 song disc you wish to sell for $10 it is hard to make your money back with 500 discs.

When you order quantities of 1000 or more your cost per disc, considering all parts of producing, will get expenses down to less than $5/disc. The benefits are you get to make more money per CD sold and you'll have a stack of albums in your garage or basement taking up space motivating you to sell them. Generally after you have sold 1000 discs you've made back all your money for producing the album and enough to pay for the next run of replication.

Better Product

Short run orders are generally performed with CD-R's and CD burners (called duplication). Sometimes these discs will not play reliably in older CD players or in certain vehicles. Other problems with the CD-R media (even when we use the highest quality) is that occasionally the media is bad and will not burn properly rendering the disc useless even in a modern player or computer.

When you order 1000 CDs or more they will be made using a press and a glass master disc (called replication). In general these discs are very reliable and very consitent in quality. For some the added reliability is worth the initial cost of replicating.
